Vineyard Notes
Perhaps the most fun zinfandel blend to assemble every year is Vortex as we’re allowed to cherry pick barrels from any of our vineyard designates in order to make something that truly brings you to the wes side of Paso Robles. This wine contains zinfandel components of Willow, Schoolhouse and Nancy’s View along side a touch of Petite Sirah from Mustard Creek. Blended late in the summer of 2020, after the completion of our wine club vineyard designates, this wine was allowed to meld into a singular wine in a combination of new and used French and Hungarian oak barrels and puncheons until bottling in March of 2021.
